Insurance Companies Suck!
Insurance, or the lack of it, is still keeping the Kentucky Off Road park from opening up. It is now on day 60 of the hostage situation with no light in sight! It would be humorous if it weren't so tragic.
The insurance company tells us they'll insure us so we buy the land and then they say they won't. Four months later another insurance company tells us they'll insure us. We work through all of the details ove an excruciating four month period. We write them a check and just as we're about to mail in the policy they tell us "we want to re-visit this!" Never to be heard from again!
We're now onto the 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th insurance companies in our effort to find a company that will insure us. How many it will take I do not know. Why won't they insure our offroad park? They tell us its because of 9-11! Say what?! What does that have to do with anything? Well, apparently the insurance companies just do not want to take any chances at the moment and are only writing business that they are virtually guaranteed of making money on. So basically the entire industry is walking away from all high risk ventures. so they are leaving a lot of businesses high and dry. Its a minor national catastrophe!
Thank god I have some distractions to keep my mind off of all of this bullshit! I'm doing the marketing side of web site retailing truck parts and accessories!
I'm doing this on top of administering the web site selling jeep parts, which is having one hell of a sale on Skyjacker Wrangler lift kits at the moment.
Man I hope that we get this park going! My brother and I have invested 3 years of our lives into this ORV Park and now it looks like our dream is dying because of these insurance a--holes!
